For day 28 of my “31 of World-wide Flavors” series, dietitian and buddy Christy Wilson talks about her adore for mangos!

Mangos

Christy’s variety a single international taste is mango. It has a tropical, citrus flavor that is so juicy and refreshing. Mangos are a tiny bitter, a little sweet, and a ton scrumptious! There are always a couple of varieties of mangos in period all year lengthy so I can constantly find it at my regional grocery keep. Mangos contain fiber, which is outstanding for intestine health and assists us truly feel comprehensive and satisfied, and they contain over 20 different natural vitamins and minerals like nutritional vitamins A and C.

Mangos are quite multipurpose and can be eaten by on their own, mixed with other fruits, vegetables, grains and herbs, or muddled or blended into drinks and desserts. I love eating magos as a dessert or snack with a very little additional lime juice and my favourite chili lime seasoning, Tajin. As a take care of, I puree fresh mango and make it into paletas (frozen pops)! I located that, specifically when my young ones were young, this was a pleasurable way to offer my young children fruit and they liked it! I also like mixing diced clean mango with cucumber, jicama and a minor cilantro for a sweet, refreshing and crunchy combo.
